A.S.A. Christian Academy first opened its' doors on April 2, 1999, in Black Jack, MO, under the name Alphabet Soup Learning Center with just 4 boys.  After 6 successful years, one location could not contain the growth that the Lord had blessed them with, so the owners prayed and asked God to enlarge their territory to be a blessing to more people.  On October 7, 2005, He blessed them with a 9+acre campus that blessed a church, a school district, a rugby sports team and not to mention the devoted staff, parents and students of ASA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY.

  • Hello Dr. Strickland,
Thank you for the newsletter, it was very nice and informative to read about the directions and vision you and the staff of ASA have for our children. My grandson's mother and I are very pleased with our decision to educate Tony at ASA. Thank you and your staff for the warm heart felt greetings and all the kindnesses you all have shown us. We are excited about the remainder of the school year and all it will bring. Again Thank You!_ Sharon J.
  • Thank you to the wonderful Principal and faculty that have educated and nurtured my boys.  My oldest has been accepted to a private west county school that he had to test to get into.  When we were interviewed, they were so impressed with him that they had to ask what school he was coming from.  Kudos to Mrs. Lauren Talavedra, the best Spanish teacher in the world, because he blew their Spanish teacher away with what you have taught him.  My 4 year old comes home excited about his day and wants to read everything in sight.  Thank you for teaching him to read and do math problems.  Stacey B.

  • My four year old read the Bible Scriptures during your annual day at church and I was so proud of him.  I never would have thought that my child would be reading hard words from the Bible at such an early age.  He is reading at home and excited to do so.  Thank you for providing a nurturing, Christian environment for my child.  Alishea J.

  • I  am thoroughly impressed with my 2 year old's reading skills.  When she came home and was able to read the words zipper, umbrella and zebra, and she can recite Bible Scriptures and tell us where we can find the scripture in the Bible, we knew that she would be with ASA for her entire elementary education.  You need to consider raising your age limit to cover highschool.

  • We are so blessed to have found you ASA, thanks to you, we can afford a great private school education for our son. It really does take a village and you provide us with our village.   M.R.

    • God told me that A.S.A. was the place for my child.  She has grown beyond belief. She can write in cursive; compute addition, subtraction and some multiplication problems.  She can read and comprehend on a second grade level, speak spanish fluently, quote the Bible and pray like a Saint.  All this and  she has  only completed the Kindergarten.  WOW!   V.G.
